First and foremost, let’s get to some very basic, fundamental, and foundational terms in order to establish the cross through the finish line. The historic balancer and centrist, both of Europe in the past and the world as a whole in this day and age is Great Britain due to its knowledge-based political and economic system. Again, Great Britain was the first nation to achieve Balance and Centrism internally, which enabled it to assume the position of “offshore balancer” first and foremost of the “Concert of Europe” stemming from the 19th Century AD and now the international system that is dominated by two powers: The United States of America and China.
Great Britain internally is a balance between two things: Monarchical rule (number one on the levels of personality analysis that I outlined) and the rule of the masses (number six on the levels of personality analysis that I outlined) as a result of what is known as the “Magna Carta” signed many many centuries ago between the King of England and his subjects. But what makes China and the United States nearly a mirror image of one another? The answer is revolution.
The United States overthrew the British as a result of George Washington in the 1700’s, and the Chinese overthrew the British as a result of Mao Zedong in 1949. Great Britain is a natural balance and centrist between status quo and revolution, whereas the United States and China have still not evolved out of its revolutionary state of mind. Are the elites in America and China democratic? Yes, absolutely. Why? Because the elites in America and China are borne out of a revolution that overthrew British rule in both countries. America and China have constantly been moving from the bottom to the center since their respective revolutions. But what will solidify the internal move to the center by the elites in both America and China? The answer is Taiwan, according to Dr. Karl Jackson of SAIS. I agree with Dr. Jackson because I was a student of his and I was convinced even before he presented the argument. THERE IS NOTHING THAT BINDS THE U.S. TO TAIWAN! WE DO NOT HAVE AN ARTICLE 5 NATO-LIKE AGREEMENT WITH TAIWAN! Give Taiwan to the Chinese, and there will be world peace tomorrow. I promise.
The Chinese, as I have tried to emphasize time and time again, are not seeking to achieve equality with the United States. The Chinese want “equilibrium”, or “balance” as Bashar Al-Assad once told Charlie Rose. And what is equilibrium? It is not 50/50, but rather 51/49 in favor of the United States. And when you look at the Holy Qur’an, the verse that concludes everything is created in pairs is enumerated as 51:49. China will give America the extra one percent if America stops prodding Taiwan. China will then stop emboldening Putin, which will weaken Putin’s control over Russia, and Putin will then slowly devolve power to his people and bow out in a respectful way. Game. Set. Match. Once Putin devolves power to his people, Russia will turn west for development, and the stabilization of the “Concert of Europe” will take on a more permanent nature. THEN, the United States can turn towards the southern sphere of the international economy in conjunction with China. And that’s how everyone benefits. In order for globalization to happen, there needs to be a sacrificial lamb. And in this case, it’s going to have to be the Taiwanese President, and not necessarily her people.
