THE PROFILE OF EVELYN ANITE
Evelyn Anite is a remarkable Ugandan journalist, politician, and current State Minister for Finance, Planning and Economic Development (Privatization and Investment). Born on November 11, 1984, in Adakado village, Koboko District, Northern Region of Uganda, Anite’s journey to success is a testament to her determination and passion.
Anite’s early life was marked by a strong desire to pursue a career in radio journalism. She began her journey at Arua One FM, a popular radio station in Arua District, during her Senior Six vacation in 2006. Her talent and dedication earned her a spot as a relationship show host, a position she held intermittently until 2007.
After completing her O’ Level education at St. Mary’s Ediofe Secondary School and A’ Level at Muni Girl’s Secondary School, Anite joined Uganda Christian University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass-Communication in 2008. She furthered her education at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, USA, earning a Global Master of Arts Programme in International Law and Diplomacy in 2019.
