A local research, information dissemination and public relations organization in Uganda will on 29th May 2017 recognize H.E Kristian SCHMIDT in appreciation of his contribution towards social economic transformation of Uganda. Amb Kristian has provided leadership role at the EU Mission in Kampala hence support development programs in Uganda to help in realization of Uganda Vision 2040 and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Uganda.
He has been at the forefront of spearheading EU values on Human Rights, Governance and Democracy in Uganda. Between 2013 and 2017,the European Union as supported numerous projects in Uganda including among other supporting construction of roads in Uganda, supporting NGOs to promote human rights, promoting democracy and good governance as well as continuous engagement with government to respect rule of law in the governance of Uganda.
Ambassador Kristian was voted for by the people of Uganda and officially recognised by Public Opinions International a private organisation involved in Public Awareness,Information Dissemination,Issues Research,Human rights Awareness,Organising field based public dialogues of Human Rights,Good governance and democracy,international Networking,awarding and recognising achievements,etc.
