Kampala Standard Primary School Kyanja tops Kampala 2023 PLE Performance
Kampala Standard Primary School scores 100% single digit first grade in 2023 PLE Results making it to the list of the best performing Primary and Nursery Schools in Uganda in 2023/2024.
Parents and pupils are celebrating at Kampala Standard Primary Schools following the performance in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).Kampala Standard Primary and Nursery School in Kyanja has surprised the country once again after it ranked among the top PLE performers in the capital of Kampala.
All 28 Candidates made it to the first Grade. Our focus is on ensuring excellence, confidence, personal presentation, LifeSkills and interpersonal communication to ensure personal competitiveness today and in the future- Ms Apophia a Director of Kampala Standard Primary School told Public Opinions.
The School Headteacher sent out a message “Dear Parents, we are delighted to inform you about the wonderful performance of our candidates in PLE 2023 results that have been released today. All our candidates passed in Division one hence registering the second consecutive 100% Division 1 attainment. We dearly congratulate our great candidates 2023, the staff, Parents and the entire Kampala standard fraternity upon this continued good performance in PLE.
Statistics from Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) indicate that 749,347 candidates registered across 14,153 examination centers, there was a 10% decline in PLE candidates compared to 2022. The examination body clarified that this reduction aligns with the typical annual number of PLE candidates, excluding 2022 whose figures rose due to that fact in 2020 there were no national examinations due to COVID19.Female candidates constituted 52%, while male candidates made up 48%. The majority of examination centers, 79%, are Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools, hosting 501,619 candidates, while the remaining 21% are non-UPE centers with 247,728 candidates. Additionally, 70% are funded under the Universal Primary Education (UPE) Program, and the remaining 30% are privately sponsored. 2,580 were candidates with Special Needs. Kampala Standard Primary School is a private founded Primary school dedicated to producing the best for Uganda.
The school started operating in 2021 after the covid-19 lockdown was uplifted, and 2022 was the inaugural year of having candidates sit for the Primary Leaving Exam (PLE), a national assessment that determines the pupil’s next step towards secondary education in the country.
In 2021, Public Opinions International ranked Kampala Standard and Primary School Kyanja on number four on the list of the Top20 Primary Schools in Kampala.
Kampala Standard Primary and Nursery School is an urban elementary school located in Kyanja. It has always organized a special holiday package targeting pupils in schools around Kampala to attain special training and skills in various aspects of life.
Besides academics, Kampala Standard Primary School extends special programs for children in collaboration with UK and USA-based schools and organizations, the programs include exchange visits between UK, USA and Ugandan teachers and pupils.
