The 2024 Uganda population census is a systematic process of collecting, compiling, and analyzing demographic, economic, and social data about a population of our country Uganda. I am honored to call upon each and every one of you to participate in the 2024 National Population and Housing Census, which commenced on May 9th and will run until May 19th. This exercise is a critical milestone in our nation’s development journey, and I urge you all to embrace it with enthusiasm and dedication.

The census is a vital tool for our country’s progress, providing valuable data that guides planning, policy formulation, and program implementation. The statistics gathered will help us track our development progress, identify areas that require attention, and make informed decisions that benefit our communities.

The 2024 census marks a significant leap forward, as we harness digital technology to collect, process, and disseminate census results. This innovative approach will enable the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) to produce accurate and timely demographic, social, and economic statistics.
