The Rev. Canon Amos Magezi-Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda was accredited by Public Opinions International with Uganda Who is Who Certification in recognition of his contribution towards attainment of sustainable peace and development of Uganda.
The Rev. Canon Amos Magezi was appointed Provincial Secretary (Chief Operating Officer) for the Church of Uganda on 1st January 2014.
Prior to being appointed Provincial Secretary, Canon Amos served as the Dean of St. James Cathedral, Ruharo, Ankole Diocese. He also founded the Uganda Bible Institute in Mbarara and served as its first Principal.
Canon Amos received his M.Div. degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi (USA), a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Management from Uganda Christian University, Mukono, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from African Bible College, Lilongwe, Malawi.
Canon Amos’ goals for his tenure as Provincial Secretary are integrated planning, financial sustainability, a well trained and equipped ministry personnel, and strong, strategic partnerships with the government, para-church organizations, and other Christian organizations to achieve the vision and mission of the Church of Uganda.
Canon Amos came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour on 28th August 1987. He is married and has six children.
